
Norman Powell
Co-founder, Helios Works
Norman Powell has primary responsibility for Operations and Customer Support. In this role, he is responsible for the development of tools and processes required to support the acquisition and sale of assets, as well as management of support staff. Norman is also responsible for product development and business strategy.
Mr. Powell has more than 20 years of manufacturing and IT experience, including 11 years in the Field Services Organization of SAP America, Inc. He worked as a functional consultant and PMP (PMI-certified) Project Implementation Manager supporting process and manufacturing industry companies. His experience implementing SAP was the primary catalyst for the formation of the business software exchange.
Prior to SAP America, Norman was with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. During his employment with Goodyear as a development engineer, he was involved with implementing JIT and TQM systems, as well as product and process development.
Norman earned his Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering (BSChE) and a Master's of Business Administration from the Ohio State University.
Chris Young
Co-Founder, Helios Works
Chris Young has primary responsibility for business development and marketing. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of marketing and sales in addition to the development and management of strategic relationships.
Mr. Young has led efforts for multiple companies, in nearly all aspects of the supply chain, including planning, purchasing, and shipping. His industry experience includes both discrete and process manufacturing, as well as distribution, both industrial and e-commerce. His strong process orientation were critical to his successful leadership of a large, full scope implementation of SAP at a $1 billion consumer products company, as well as for his management of the design, implementation, and support of the "plan to produce" process at an $8 billion diversified corporation.
Prior to joining Helios Works, Chris led the operations and sales of a small, venture-backed, distributor of both print and digital learning materials, to the on-line education market, which grew from $12 million to $30 million during his leadership.
Chris has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Duke University, and an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Between his undergraduate and graduate studies, Chris served in the United States Navy overseeing a staff of 30 and advanced systems while an engineering and weapons officer on a guided missile destroyer.
Mark Carroll
Chief Development Officer, Helios Works
Mark Carroll has primary responsibility Development and Technical Support. In this role, he is responsible for establishing development standards, creating the development framework, managing the monetizing and quality rating processes.
Mr. Carroll has more than 24 years of software development and consulting experience, including 12 years in the Technical Services Organization of SAP America, Inc. He worked as an ABAP developer and Technical Team Lead, and was a platinum consultant for 9 years. During his career with SAP, he had the privelege of working with 10 customers in the milled products, consumer products, machine tool and health care industry verticals.Prior to SAP America, Mark held various positions for a number of software vendors including Product Manager, Project Manager, Technical Team Lead, Senior Systems Analyst and Senior Programmer. During his employment, he was responsible for the development and implementation of inventory control and shipping systems as well as health care registration systems. Mark earned his Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science at Thomas More College and also has a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and an Associates of Science in Chemistry.

North American CEO for Fitch Worldwide, a global branding agency owned by WWP Group.
Over his 12-year tenure at Fitch, Bill worked with clients such as Nortel Networks, Owens Corning
and Procter & Gamble. He began his career at Eastman Kodak Company in product development and marketing.
Bill holds an undergraduate degree in design from The Ohio State University and an MBA from The Fisher College
of Business. He has been quoted in publications as diverse as ID Magazine, Time, BusinessWeek and
The Wall Street Journal.
Dr. Christian Knoll
Christian is a co-founder of the KINAMU Business Solutions AG. KINAMU uses an on-premise, subscription-based model to
deliver IT business solutions for medium sized enterprises, based on commercial "best-in-class" applications and open
source products. Christian had worked for SAP for over ten years and before leaving the company was COO for Eastern
Europe and Middle East. During his time at SAP, he was a member of the global sales operation team and took charge of
the midmarket. Prior to this, he was responsible for the SCM product for several years. Five years of his career at
SAP were spent in the USA where he was in charge of the Mill Products sector for North, South America, and Asia.
Christian's combination of SAP knowledge, business process expertise, and problem-solving skills are well known
and respected in the SAP community. Before joining SAP, he did his doctor's degree at the Vienna University of
Technology and worked as a business consultant.
John Warner
John spent several years as the Vice President of Unisys' Microsoft Solutions Practice. Prior to joining Unisys,
John worked for Accenture for 22 years, and was a partner from 1993. He was the global lead for Accenture's Microsoft
Solutions Organization and was on the firms Worldwide Technology Leadership Council. He led over 10 of Accenture's
largest and most challenging IT engagements around the world. He has extensive experience in large program management,
manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, banking, health care, hospitality and pharmaceuticals. John's leadership, expertise,
and knowledge of technology trends and practices keep him in great demand. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with
dual majors in Electrical and Industrial Engineering and an MBA from The Ohio State University. Mr. Warner is a
Certified Public Accountant and serves as a business advisor and board member for many organizations.
Doug Foster
Doug is currently Director, Information Technology at Elmer's Products. Elmer's Products is a trusted leader in home and
school adhesive and craft products. As Director, Information Technology, he is responsible for all aspects of Information Technology
including strategy and architecture. Prior to joining Elmer's Products in 2005, Mr. Foster was Vice President of Information
Technology for Pen-Tab Industries and Director of Information Technology for Ciba Specialty Chemicals. Mr. Foster has more
than twenty years of experience in Information Technology. His experience as an IT decision maker has made him an excellent
resource for our company.
